Life is too short!

These past few weeks have been a struggle and constant prayer!! I've never had so many friends or people i know get in car wrecks, serious wrecks! My friends Cory Lentini and Zack Templet got in a bad accident 2 weeks ago. Zack is already out of the hospital but Cory is still in a coma. His punctured lungs and liver are healing quickly so that's good! he had surgery to restructure his jaw and pelvis. A few days ago he developed pnemonia and staff in his lungs but the doctor said it's under control. They say he is doing very well, considering his condition, but we are just waiting on him to wake up. Constant prayer and knowing God is in control is the only way to get through this.

Another friend, Katie Walters, got in a horrible accident 5 days ago on her way to work. She is also still in a coma, has punctured lungs and shattered pelvis. She has so many major major injuries the doctors said they have no earthly idea how she is still alive. I'll tell you why she is still alive....by the grace of our almighty God!! Her brain is swelling and she is having strokes. Only time will tell for both Cory and Katie. They are just taking it day by day. That's all you can do in times like these. All we can do is continue the constant prayer!! I'm a strong believer in prayer, God listens!! All of this has really hit home for me and teaching me to never take life for granted!

I don't know how many people read my blog but for whoever does, please please pray for Cory and Katie and their families. Even if you don't know them, it doesn't matter, the more praying the better! They are both great great people and their families really need miracles! i know they can pull through this, they are strong people!

Besides all of this, life is great! School is going better than i could have ever expected for this semester! only 3 days left of classes!! CRAZY!!! this semester went by soooo fast!!! I have 3 projects to do next week but it will get done!
I went and saw New Moon at the midnight premiere last night! It was AMAZING!!!! I absolutely loved it! I'm not going to say too much because of anybody who reads this who hasn't watched it yet and wants to. I'm just going to say it's definitely worth going see! :) The next one, Eclipse, comes to theaters this coming June!! Really soon, i'm so excited!! :)

a little bit of everything

I haven't been able to write a blog in a while, i feel like it's been forever!! Between school, observing at a day care, and work i don't have a lot of free time!

I have been doing very well the past couple of weeks! School is going GREAT!!!! I have all A's and B's and there are only 3 weeks left of school! It amazes me how well i'm doing! I'm truely giving it my all and it has paid off!! It makes me feel really good about myself! yay!

Work is driving me crazy but that's nothing new. It's getting more hectic as it gets closer to the holidays. I'm in the process of finding another job. I want to find one that actually has to do with my major, trying to get into the hospital setting. I have faith that it will all work out!

My halloween was awesome!! My mom and I made my costume! i was a speed bump!! :) we painted to sweatpants and sweatshirt yellow and got my dads bike tire and painted it black and ran it over the outfit a few times!! it was great fun!! picture below! it was sooo much fun!

stressed to the max!!

I have not been able to blog lately because of being tied up with school stuff! It seems like it never ends and i never get a break! My classes this semester give me more homework than i've ever had in my whole life combined! It's insane! I have two test tomorrow and two in Tuesday AND i've been working allllllll weekend. I also had 3 test last week. Please explain to me when will i have time to study?! I'm literally going crazy trying to squeeze time in to study. I brought my school stuff with me to work the past few days and would study on my breaks. And work doesn't care that i have a thousand school things to do, they just schedule me more hours....that makes since right?...ugh...i'm so stressed! I've broken down and cried just about everyday this week.
And speaking of work... i only get one weekend off a month. Next weekend is MY weekend. well, i looked at the schedule yesterday and my manager took it upon herself to SCHEDULE ME FRIDAY(10 hours), SATURDAY(9 hours) and SUNDAY(8 hours)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is supposed to be my weekend off! Her excuse? She "thought" i needed more hours and "thought" i was broke so i needed money. Yes, that would have been nice to have extra hours...but NOT on my weekend off, and do not assume that i need money! She doesn't know my situation! I could be really rich and have this job for "fun". I'm not....but that could have been the situation....she didn't know. ugh...i hate that job. so now, instead of working 3 or 4 weeks straight without a weekend off i will now have to wait EIGHT weeks! fabulous!!!

Things really need to get better before i completely lose my mind!! If i can just make it until Tuesday night i will be okay..... :(

school and other updates!

I haven't posted in a while! I have been so busy with school starting up and working everyday!
I started classes on the 20th and i actually love all of my classes!! That has NEVER happened, ever!! I am taking all Family and Consumer Science classes. i'm taking 2 nutrition classes, child development, adolescent development, and family finances. They are all very interesting! especially child development! However, i have never had this much homework in my life!!! In my child development class alone i have 12 pages of homework with 15 questions on each page and 5 parts to each question!! AND a 2 page essay to write!! It's insane the amount of homework she gave us! It's all due tomorrow! Remember, that's all just for one class!! I have 4 other classes! It's okay though, i love the stuff i'm learning so i'll do it all!

Besides school all i do is work. I don't have time for anything else. If i'm not going to school or work then i'm doing homework and studying. I used to cook all the time but now i don't have time to anymore. LUCKILY, my awesome roommate, Chris, is starting to cook more!!! i'm so excited about this. I love when he cooks, it's soooo good!! Just one less thing i have to worry about. I love a guy living in the house because he can fix things that i am incapable of fixing! And he takes out the trash and does dishes! it's greattttt!!!! But of course, i do dishes when he cooks! it's polite!
But anyway, it's getting late and i have to finish up some homework! I have to get up in the morning and run some errands and go eat lunch with my mom!! yay!! :)

Great news!!!!!

MY GRANNY DOES NOT HAVE A BRAIN TUMOR!!!!! YAY!!! i am so very excited!!! Thank yall for yalls prayers!!! This is the best news ever!!! She got the MRI results back yesterday! They don't know exactly what the problem is...there is definitely something wrong with her but the doctors can not figure it out. at least it's not a tumor! We can be thankful for that!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LEANN!!!!

Yesterday was Leann's 22nd birthday!!! She is my best friend in the entire world!!! I could not ask for a better friend! We have been best friends for 8 years now!! She has been there for me through all of the tough years! I can count on her for anything! She is a beautiful person inside and out and deserves the best! I love you, Leann!!

Horrible day...

Today was NOT my day!!!

1) I have a stye on my eye..... it hurts and is not very pretty to look at
2) I suddenly got a bad cold...
3) Found out my granny is very sick and she had a MRI done to see if it's a brain tumor.....
4) Somebody stole my phone...
5) I passed out at work today...
6) I MISS MY MOM!!! she is in Tampa, FL for another week...


usually i am a very optimistic person....but days like today, it's impossible!!!!! I just want to go to sleep before something else goes wrong....
I'll write again later and i promise for it to be a bit happier!! Nothing in my day really matters except for my granny. i love her soooooo much!!! Please everyone pray that it's not a brain tumor. I don't know what i would do if it was. She is such a big part of my life and i don't want anything to happen to her. I'm hoping for the best!! Please pray!!!

Macy's

It has been a few days since i've updated so now seems like a good time. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday i went to Hammond which was awesome because it has been 5 weeks since my last visit! It was much needed!!! I missed my friends so much!
As of the other days...Saturday and Sunday i worked 12 hour shift both days!! It was HORRIBLE!!! Macy's is really starting to get on my nerves! I am a PART TIME worker....does that really sound like part time hours?? noooo! i mean, the money is good...but it is really wearing me out! Good thing i have off tomorrow! I love selling perfume and cologne though, and the commission is nice too, so I guess Macy's is where i will be until i graduate! yay.....

As for Lola, she was burried beside her sister, Alice! My Poppy is the best!!! He burried her for me! :) I have come to peace with the situation!
I want to buy another Ferret!!! I miss my old one, Brewster, sooooo much!! He was my baby, the best pet i've ever had. Unfortunately we had a big accident with him.....my dog was playing a little rough with him and punctured one of his organs and we had to put him to sleep! It was one of the saddest days ever! But it's been a year and i think i'm ready for another one! They are so much fun to have! I saw a lady in Sephora today and she had one in her purse. She said she carries him everywhere, it was so cute!! :)

Anyway, that's enough for now...i'll blog some more tomorrow!! :)

This morning i woke up and Lola (my bunny) had died.....Alice died a few days ago...
i will post more later...i'm too sad to write a post right now and plus i'm about to go in to work....

Just My Luck!

Today was one of those days. Yesterday i had $80 in my bank account and TODAY i was on my way to get my ticket at the movie theater for tonight and my gas light came on, no big deal, so i went to the gas station. I checked my balance first to make sure my money situation was still okay.....and it said i had $.00 in my account! WHAT? How the heck does that happen!!? i DID NOT buy anything yesterday! So, i call my BFF, Kassey, and she came to my rescue (thanks, Kass!!) !! She drove all the way to me just to fill my car up cause my stupid account said there was no money in there!! Come to find out a bunch of stuff from TWO weeks ago just went through, Today!! i HATE HATE HATE banks!!! I wish i never had to deal with them!! I'm thinking about every time i get a pay check to just cash it out and not have to use the card!

Anyway, on a better note.....guess what is going on tonight at midnight!??? That's right...HARRY POTTER and the Half-Blood Prince!!!!!!! and I WILL definitely be there, already have my ticket! yay, i am so excited!! All i have to do is get through work tonight and i'm Harry Potter bound!! YAY!

Self Control

Today I went in to Barnes and Noble with intentions of buying at least four books and before i went to check out I decided that I did not have that much money to splurge on $60 worth of books! I do not have this much self control too often when it comes to buying books so i was very proud of myself!!! :) Instead i am going to put that money aside for my beach trip next month!! yay! AND...i'm going to the library today and getting a library card so i can read the books FOR FREE!!!! Free is good!

Also, is it sad that i'm 21 and LOVE the Jonas Brothers??! nahh...i don't think so! They are awesome! Look how cute they are!

Board Games!

Tonight was a lot of fun!! I went over to Jeremy's house and played some board games! We played Apples to Apples and In a Pickle!! Both very good, clean, fun games!! I felt like a kid again and it was amazing!! Every now and then everybody should have board game nights, it's a must!!!

One of my friend's mom had surgery the other day so today i cooked a big batch of jambalaya for their family! They loved it and i felt good doing it! It was a win-win situation!! :)

Today is rained A LOT!!! I sat outside for over an hour and just watched it fall. Rain, for me, is the most peaceful thing God created! I absolutely love it! I do my best thinking sitting outside watching the rain. Today was amazing! Also, a friend gave me a list of a bunch of her favorite books so tomorrow i'm going to spend some money at Barnes and Noble!!! I trust her judgement which is why i'm going to buy them. I've been looking for some good books to read so i'm really excited!! The last year i have been reading nothing but the Twilight series...over and over and over again!! They never get old, which is why i have read them countless times, but i want something new! :)

Alright, wayyy past my bedtime so i'm getting off this computer! Goodnight all!

baby bunnies!!

I have realized that i am absolutely horrible about keeping up with blogs!! I always think about writing things down but i forget every time! oh well, i do what i can. A lot of things have been going on since the last time i posted a blog.





As you can see from the pictures I found some baby bunnies!! My friend works for a construction company and one day at work they destroyed their nest!! :( i hate that! but he knew how much of an animal person i am so he called me to come pick them up, they were the only 2 that survived. They are wild cottontail rabbits. When i rescued them they were about 5 days old. Their eyes weren't even open yet. I have done everything the LSU vet school has told me to do. Unfortunately, wild baby bunnies rarely make it no matter how well you take care of them. I named them Alice and Lola. Alice passed away 3 days ago and is now burried in my back yard with my other animals that have passed! There was nothing to be done...but Lola is now 17 days old and still going strong!! She's a trooper! She is so beautiful and such fun to play with! funny that i am talking this way about a rabbit!! Anyway....there is an update on them! I am doing my best to take care of Lola!! :) I have a good feeling about her.

And as for this little puppy here, that's Jackson!! :) he's just the cutest/best puppy ever so i decided he deserved to be put on the blog!!

AND THIS......is Rascal, our racoon!!! we rescued him from the wild, also!! We found him before his eyes were open. And just to make it clear, we make sure the mom is not coming back for the babies before we rescue them!! ha, i don't want any one to think that we are being cruel or selfish for taking them. We only try and save them if we know they can not live by themselves yet.

Anyway, back to Rascal, he is getting HUGE!!! He is the sweetest thing ever!! the picture below is Rascal and Charlie playing!! haha, it is amazing to watch! They are best friends!

These are just some of my animals, i will get to Maddie, Sassy, Murphy and Gumbo some other time!!

This is pretty much my life, my animals. Besides the animals....i'm not in school right now, no summer school...yay!!, i work but that's about it. I keep telling work to give me more hours but every week it's the same....only 28 hours. that is NOT enough to get by. oh well....i'll live!

The Newsies

Leann and I are watching The Newsies on a Saturday night! It's one of my favorite movies ever!! I grew up watching this movie! I can quote just about every word and song! It's great!

So, I just moved in and got settled in my new condo!! it's simply amazing!! It couldn't be any better! It's on the corner of Bluebonnet and Airline so it's easy to hop on the interstate for school and right down the road from work! The perfect place! My mom dropped off my puppies, Toby and Bailey, today! I'm so excited they can finally live with me again!! I love my babies!!

I'm new!!

I have just opened an account! I have no clue how to work this page so i will figure it out and write a blog tomorrow or Tuesday! Tomorrow is going to be a very long day. I have to drive to Monroe to pick up my transcript from ULM and then drive to Hammond to drop it off at Southeastern and schedule my classes for the spring! whew...it's going to be hectic!! Eight hours on the road in one day is no fun!! I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow!

RIP- Corey Loyd!! I'm praying for your family! it's so sad to have you taken away from us like that! It just doesn't seem fair. Everything happens for a reason though. I will always remember you sweetie! Your smile was always so contagious. No matter what kind of mood I or anyone else was in when you smiled so did we! I always loved watching you play basketball in high school! You were extremely talented! You were truly an amazing person and i will never forget you! I know you're in a safe place now and I will see you again one day, Corey!
